Covid-19: Pre-existing conditions of inequality

Posted in Covid-19, Programmes

Facing a pandemic has forced us to be creative in the ways we can continue to bring programming to our community. One of the solutions we at The Forge have come up with is to provide digital events that are guided by you.

Our first event in this format will be part of a series of panel discussions about how pre-existing conditions of inequality in South Africa have compounded the effects of Covid-19. The discussion will be pre-recorded and uploaded to YouTube, but you can still participate. Leave any questions, concerns, and suggestions for future topics in the form below. Panelists include Zandile Nsibande, from Abahlali baseMjondolo and former Chairperson of Abahlali baseMjondolo Women’s League, and Pontsho Pilane, an award-winning health journalist, media trainer and media studies lecturer. The panel will be facilitated by Tebadi Mmotla, a health reporter at New Frame, and Radio New Frame host.
